Long time bottomfeeder in ESEA Invite, teamtobeat, have managed to top UMX in the ESEA Invite Season 12 grand finals to win the tournament and $7,500. teamtobeat came into the finals as 6th seed with a 9-7 record, barely making playoffs over esk. With Amazing Online and A Group Of Good Friends not showing up, brackets were changed and they faced sapphirekelownadotcom instead. Two time defending champion Brennan "ele1Nt" Webster wouldn't be able to help his Canadian SK team enough, as they fell short 1-2 in a close series. Meanwhile Braxton "swag" Pierce's UMX beat HRG to advance to upper bracket final.
Nazar "steno" Vynnytsky's team was denied of a grand final spot by ttb, while former EG member Paul "pauLy" Guerboyan's HRG was knocked out of the tournament in last place by SK. UMX went on to advance to finals thanks to a big one-on-two clutch by Pierce, as first seed SK fell to third place and Vynnytsky's UMX once again clinched a spot in the grand finals, this time via lower bracket. His season would see a familiar end though, as surprise winners teamtobeat would take down UMX without much trouble 2-0 in the grand finals and put yet another disappointing finish to UMX's season. ESEA Finals are still not done though, as the consolidation final between Don't Trust Anyone and Team Dynamic in CS:GO is scheduled for 17:00 with Area51 waiting in the grand finals. Time is adjusted to your selected timezone |
